Many of the villains are so popular that they have gotten their own side story to either elaborate on their lives or to show their history on how they became the way they are now. Lets look at some of these villains now.

Dr. Octopus

Dr. Otto Octavius was a respected scientist that had Peter Parker as a student. One of his experiments went terribly wrong and it killed his wife. Dr. Octavius thought that spider-man was at fault and swore his life to defeating him.

While the experiment killed his wife, he gained mechanical appendages. He can use these tools as weapons or as another method to move quickly. He might have to clean them every so often.

Scorpion

Mac Gargan is the villain Scorpion, during a long experiment his body was fused with a special suit. This gave him super speed and physical strength. His green suit is permanent and it also has a tail that is like that of a scorpion.

Mysterio

This is not the ordinary super villain. Mysterio uses the skills that he has learned at his job to fight enemies. Mysterio used to work as a special effects expert. His whole image is a mystery. Just looking at his strange suit you will see what I mean.

Venom

One of the most twisted villains is Venom. What makes it so dangerous is that it is an alien symbiote that first merges with spiderman and enhances every aspect of his super power life. The downside is that it tried to take over our super hero so he had to get rid of it.

Venom has a mind of its own and can move independently from the person who he is stuck to.

Green Goblin

One super villain that hits extremely close to home is the Green Goblin. This enemy is Norman Osborne the father of Harry Osborne. Harry is one of spider-man his best friends.

The Green Goblin has many different weapons, but uses his bombs and flying device the most.

Everybody has their own favorite super villains in the spiderman saga. It is really hard to choose the best super villain because all of them have their own super powers and stories that are very interesting.

Peter Parker was an ordinary kid, until his parents were killed, effectively making him an orphan. He would go on to live with his aunt and uncle, who would raise them as if he were their own. The fact that Peter Parker was an orphan growing up, establishes a sense of pity for the character. Fans can’t help but cheer on Spider-Man, due to his tragic upbringing.

Peter Parker’s transformation to Spider-Man came in the form of a spider bite. This hits home to fans, getting a spider bite is a very common occurrence that anyone can relate too; spiders are also a fear for many people. However, in Parker’s case, he was given special “spidey powers” when he was bitten. Since his rise from human to superhero comes from something as familiar as a spider bite, fans are able to connect with the superhero of Spider-Man as a regular person as well.

Spider-Man is a fascinating character to watch and really think about. His super powers are very desirable, and a common answer to the question “If you had a super power, what would it be”? He has the ability and agility to jump incredibly high, and climb walls. He can also swing from structure to structure with his web-spitting. He also has his uncanny “spidey sense”, which can alert him of potential dangers or a possible threat. In fact, the term “spidey sense”, has become a mainstay in popular culture today – and is used often.

Finally, Spider-Man has a number of different of intriguing enemies. The Green Goblin, Hobgoblin, Dr. Octopus, and of course Venom, make up some of the most popular antagonists in the comic book world. These “bad guys”, and their opposition to Spider-Man, help to make Spider-Man, one of the most popular superheros out there.
